Iqbal P. Sheikh, Chief Executive

Mr. Iqbal P. Sheikh is an Electrical Engineer Graduated in 1974 from UET, PEC Registration No. ELECT/2018. He has over 34 years experience. This includes about 14 years of utilities and another 20 years experience in various fields of consultancy engineering. The utility management experience covers design, business planning, recourse planning, work procedures, performance monitoring, staff training, budgets, accountability and administration. The variety of projects includes civil, electrical, and environmental and mechanical engineering projects. The civil engineering works includes a number of housing projects; environmental projects include a number of projects for industries, treatment plants, solid waste disposal sites and cleaner production centers. Electrical engineering experience is mainly in the field of planning, design and management of distribu­tion projects. As Chief Executive of the firm provided home support to various projects being executed by the team members of the various projects. He has supervised and participated in the preparation of a number of manuals, guidelines for an overseas electric utility in the Gulf. He has been involved in the Training and follows up implementation of the guidelines, manuals, plans; Development/tailoring of computer based planning tools including outage reporting information system; load forecast modeling and capacitor placement program etc. He has conducted several technical studies including load flows, voltage profile, network losses, short circuit and load forecast on distribution system, Electrical system studies for load management, power factor improvement and energy conservation. He has developed proposals for distribution automation at medium voltage. He has participated in the zero base study and many resource studies for distribution system management. He has carried out fixed assets studies at distribution level, participated in the tariff studies and Planning and designing of external electrification system for the housing schemes, industrial estates, sports complexes etc. He has been involved in the development of monitoring and evaluation system/tool for the measurement of performance indices used for the management of distribution network.

Naeem Javed, Director

Mr. Naeem Javed is an Electrical Engineer Graduated in 1974 from UET, PEC Registration No. ELECT/1636. He is practicing as Professional Engineer since 1974. As Project Manager IBRD funded Project for 5000 Villages, (Loan 3148) NESPAK responsible for preparation of bidding documents for procurement of goods and works, evaluation of bids, preparation of contract documents in accordance with relevant IBRD guidelines, project scheduling and monitoring, and overall project management.
As Principal Engineer (Contracts) handled preparation of tender documents, evaluation reports, pre-award negotiations and preparation of contract documents for projects funded by various donors like IBRD, ADB, OECF, KfW, and many others. The assignment includes contracts administration including analysis of claims by clients and contractor / manufacturers.
As Electrical Specialist, provided technical advice from home office on various aspects of distribution system planning, management of distribution & transmission systems, operation & maintenance of distribution system, feasibility studies, and preparation of project evaluation reports.
Extensively used the computers for planning design and monitoring of rural electrification projects funded by OECF and IBRD. Developed various spreadsheets and programs for optimization of different parameters e.g. conductor & transformers sizing, cost estimates, economic & financial analysis and inventory controls. Heavily involved in distribution system analysis, comprising study of existing networks, load projections, material requirements, pertinent design features, detailed techno-economic analysis etc. utilizing the computerized spreadsheets/programs. Also developed computerized work order system for distribution system construction activities for systemic and cost effective construction approach for IBRD and OECF funded projects.

Ch. Abdul Majeed, Director

Ch. Abdul Majeed is an Electrical Engineer Graduated in 1967 from UET, PEC Registration No. ELECT/4169. He has wide range of experience in training design, construction, opera­tion and maintenance of internal & external electrical networks. He was very actively been involved in the pre-feasibility study, feasibility study and later on establishment of training academy in Saudi Arabia. He has prepared a number of electric utility documents including economic analysis guidelines and loss evaluation. He has conducted number of valuation and resource studies at distribution level. He has provided training of 3 to 10 days duration to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of supervisory/management staff. He has worked on the designing of several projects for pumping stations, booster stations, sewage treatment plants, water desal­ination plants etc. other than power supply to residential com­mercial and industrial projects of varying sizes.
