Mechanical & Piping Projects
- Complete Detailed Engineering of Mechanical/Process Piping part of the Kasur- waste water pre-treatment project, which included automatic screens with compactors, surface aerators, submersible pumps, centrifugal pumps, settling tanks and rotary moving bridge. In plant piping ranged from 4” to 12” NB C. Steel, Stainless Steel 316 and all in side connected piping network which inter locked with plant instrumentation for efficient operation. 3 pumping stations namely, equalization pump station sludge/ supernatant pump station with 60 M3/hr pumps including check valves, butterfly valves and other pipe fittings etc. were designed & erected.
- Complete review of mechanical equipment design for a 20 M3/day Chromium recovery plant at Sialkot. The review includes design of St. steel 316 chrome liquor storage tanks, Reactors, Redissolving tank, caustic tank, sulfuric acid tanks recovered chrome storage tank. Process design review & pressure drop calculations for in plant piping, valves, strainers with pump selection based on manufacturer’s performance curves. The design of vessel is according to respective code like API-650, ASME Sec. VIII Div. I etc. Design Review also included Mass and Energy balance for complete plant.
- Design and performance verification of round 20” dia Dust Collectors in leather industry in Sialkot. Design calculations were filtering simulation based on leather dust received from buffing machine. The flow calculations included pressure drop and filtering mesh design. 70 units were installed and performance was found excellent after installation.
- 5 M3 Grit Chambers designed to easily collect the incoming-floating or suspended material in the tannery spent chrome liquors. The filtered chrome liquor will be used for recovery in Chromium Recovery plant.
- 5” NB, FRP (Fiber glass) pipeline 2 km long and allied pumping stations each for sludge and supernatant service. The pipeline included guide and slip supports including anchors. The pipeline rested on concrete supports and steel trusses in between. The stress analysis of complete line was done on Simflex-S; providing an expansion loop at the middle of lines.
- Penstock Gates: Complete design of penstock gate allied penstock channel and gate fitting assembly was carried out. The stainless steel 316 gate (4’x6’) weighed 700 kg and were designed for manual close and opening by a hand wheel from a platform. The gates equipped with bulb seal, all around the gates.
- Bowzers, LPG bullets: Complete 22 Ton Mobile Vessel design with accessories on ASME Sec. VIII for road LPG transport with safety recommendations prescribed by LEES. Further, all types of vessels in LPG service whether mobile or stationery-horizontal or vertical vessels are designed for storage yards-complete with piping, instrumentation and fire fighting. Tank-storage area/Dike area development is also undertaken.
